As Training and Operations Manager at the Zimbabwe School of Mines (ZSM), he provides strategic leadership for the institution’s academic division, innovation initiatives, and operational projects, driving the development of future mining professionals and advancing industry-focused research and technology. Holding an MSc in Financial Engineering, an MBA, and a BSc (Hons) in Mining Engineering, Martin combines technical expertise with strong governance, financial, and ESG leadership. He has led the expansion of ZSM’s academic programmes, secured over US$2.5 million in project funding, championed digital transformation through drone technology, automation, and AI, and strengthened partnerships between academia, government, and industry. His commitment to sustainable mining, professional development, and innovation continues to position him as a respected leader within Zimbabwe’s mining sector and the broader Southern African mining community.
