He graduated with a BSc Hons in Mining Engineering from the University of Zimbabwe in 2002 and has published papers on mine planning and slope steeping through the SAIMM. He has 20 years work experience in the mining industry ranging from chrome, platinum, diamonds and gold in both production and mine planning. Alfred has previously worked as a Planning Engineer and Principal Mining Engineer for Gem Diamonds where he worked with the world renowned McKinsey during the company business transformation where he led the implementation of steeper pit slopes and mining contract re-negotiation achieving sustainable savings of over US$15 million per annum. He is a astute business leader with 18years experience in several mineral commodities namely asbestos, platinum and gold. He has worked in several mining houses in Zimbabwe under several bluechip companies. Harmony holds a BSc Hons in Mining Engineering from the UZ and a Masters in Mining Engineering (MSc) from the University of Witwatersrand. He holds other several professional and leadership qualifications. He currently serves as a council member of the Association of Mine Managers of Zimbabwe.
